This being my first house, i was looking through interior designers the day i booked the property. I went through multiple famous design studios, getting quotes, going through there design styles. But none of them clicked. Some were charging way above my budget, or were rigid with their design styles. When I started searching for an Interior Designer, I interacted with so many people and organizations before zeroing down to Upside Artist. Luckily, we were directed to Upside Team and then started the journey of transforming our house to a charming and blissful home. Honestly, at the beginning, we were doubtful if Upside team would even partner with us looking at some of our crazy expectations in terms of design, use of our preferred carpenter, and of course, the budget. Moreover, we presented to them a unique requirement of a spacious Mandir inside our home, to be a completely separate room in our living area, yet not to appear too huge and odd in comparison to the modern design theme expected for the rest of the house. In short, we laid down contradictory conditions of our requirement in front of them, totally realizing the difficulty level, but still expecting them to use some magic to turn this into reality. Against all our thoughts, Upside team graciously accepted to execute our project per our expectations, and just requested for some time to design our Mandir, which both Shraddha and I were also personally unsure whether it was even feasible to have it. We then started a series of our meetings to finalize the design of each section of the house (keeping the Mandir area aside). There wasn’t a single point left unexplained to us during each of these meetings, no matter if it required sparing additional time to help make us understand things better. The best part is that they would tirelessly continue to explain their concepts until they get convinced about our understanding and assured that they had our free consent on any design vs. an agreement on something under influence (Mandir design still awaited). Next came the execution part which I thought was going to be a bit stressful for everyone, because designer's team was supposed to work with our preferred carpenter. Regardless of their experience on such type of arrangements, we were still afraid about the trust and the bonding between our carpenter (looking at some of his expectations) and their team, which was paramount for the project’s success. But again, no wonder, the Upside team handled the relationship/management all alone ensuring a seamless blend between the teams to achieve the goal on time. By the time we finished 80% of the work, Upside team presented to us their first (which also turned out to be the final) design of the Mandir! It had a beautiful and a perfect blend of aesthetics, coziness, harmonious design and hardware mechanism, which was completely beyond our expectations. Indeed, the Mandir (being our worship place) is supremely close to our hearts, but it has become the most incredibly attractive segment of our home for all our visitors too. They simply can’t hold off taking pictures of the Mandir and we just love their happiness, compliments and blessings for us. A special bow to the Upside team for building this Mandir, which is not just a structure, but a living part of our home. We bought our first home and of course it was a very special moment for us. Both me and husband are in the creative field so we wanted our house a certain way, full of creativity and attention to details. We searched a lot for a good interior design studio but were not happy with the many that we found. Then my husband stumbled upon about Upside Artist. We contacted them and something immediately clicked. What we liked the most about them was their honesty and willingness to create something unique and personalized. From the first day itself the team impressed us with well chalked out timeliness, and great ideas. They were open to our ideas, changes we suggested and were equally excited to work on our house to make it our dream home. The team delivered in time and we got the exact home we had imagined. When we were looking for an Interior Designer for our newly purchased 3.5 bhk, we had very specific idea of what our home should "feel" like, so our search zeroed in on a select few in the Baner area. The process of finally going with one was then a function of cost, timelines and whether we felt the designer really "understood" our taste and needs. With some of them, the very first meeting concluded with they handing out agreements that they wanted us to sign, without even discussing details of what the design would be like! With some others we were given a specific budget number without which the designer would not even come for a meeting. And then there were some who quoted ridiculously low prices to get the project, which in itself felt like a warning .Obviously this was something very off putting and we started thinking if any designer would even give enough time to listen to us. A chance look at Upside Artist's insta channel and pics of their completed projects had me hooked. And when I placed a call to Chinky and requested for a meet, my worries started vanishing. Here was a designer who came in to have a first look at the apartment and immediately gave a number of ideas , while also trying to understand our taste and our family's requirements. While no1 else even discussed any sort of ideas without looking at first payment, Upside Artist was a welcome find :) needless to stay we decided to go with Chinky for designing our home. What followed were very organized and well planned online discussions on 3D designs, multiple iterations with Chinky giving enough time to each room's details. The placement of furniture, color scheme, kind of curtains, electric switches, and lighting, all was discussed in complete detail and transformed into detailed drawings. The whole design process took almost a month, as Chinky had communicated at the outset. This was followed by a completed budget estimate "according to the design" and discussion on whether we were comfortable with it or need to modify design to fit into our budget. After the estimates were finalized, immediately after execution started on site. We were very clear that we need to move in within 3 months and the team adhered to schedule. Chinky was always very organized in terms of parallel tasking so that laminates , tiles, selection etc happened without wasting any time. She accompanied us on all selections, suggested a number of shops/vendors and dedicated a lot of time so that we were always 100% satisfied with our selection. The result was that the team onsite was never waiting on anything, decisions were made quickly and material arrived in time for team to execute and complete on time. I had some specific ideas like a brick wall, art work inside pooja cabinet and also art work at entry foyer. Chinky is very resourceful and has a great network and helped to find the right vendors /artists for all of these , well within budget. There were multiple instances when we were going to do a particular decor thing a certain way, and Chinky suggesting doing it another way, saving us time and money!! At the completion of the site work, her team also was always on call to correct any minor issues and we never had any issues with getting their support. Upside artist did end to end interior work of our 3bhk apartment in Pune. I liked the clarity and thaught process during every discussion. They consider every small aspect while designing. Even contractors they hire did really good job while doing actual execution. Time frame was 3 months and it was completed within that timeframe that was best part. These guys are geniuses..! I'm not someone who will write any kind of feedback so easily. But the work these guys have done for us made me write this to appreciate their efforts and creativity.. I still wonder and thank god for the day when I 'accidentally' found the Upside artist's profile (I was not actively looking for any designer..). I was just browsing online to get some ideas about kitchen planning and somehow landed on their YouTube channel. Just a glimpse of one of their projects, and I was almost (90%) convinced that I've found the right people for the job.. Made an online enquiry via their website and got a call back the very next day. A brief discussion with Chinky, and then there were no more doubts. I was sure that I don't need to worry about space-planning, creativity in design, quality of materials, rather anything.. To be honest, our initial plan was just to get the kitchen done but still asked her to prepare a rough plan (..and tentative budget) for the whole interior. That's when Ankit stepped in with his creative ideas. When we saw the proposal, there was no turning back. We had to do it, that was the power of that 'rough' design. One most important thing to mention here is - usually designers provide an unrealistically low budget quotation just to get the project but then the overall project cost goes high as per actual pricing.. That was not the case with these guys. The tentative quotation and the final project cost are almost the same. Design-wise we wanted Indian touch in design but at the same time it should be easy to maintain/clean (i.e. no carving, too much texture...), and they incorporated both requirements so creatively that the whole design looks so seamless and inline with an artistic touch. Ankit looked after the whole execution process and made sure every minute details were taken care of. We had so many queries during selection but both of them were so supportive, patient and composed while answering them. Both are so so so friendly which made the whole process a fun filled experience rather than just a business project. We worked with miss Chinky Budhraja to design and build the interiors of our newly constructed duplex at Western Hills, Baner. She was very punctual, responsive and committed from the first day of the project till the end. She is a rare talent for creative and logical minds. My kids' rooms are well designed, with ample space for studies and games, and beautiful wardrobes. The selection of furnishing, lighting and colour combination of the living room was awesome, we made many iterations but she was very patient. ` We wanted a sleek and elegant look at the house and she has done an outstanding job, we all were stunned by the final look of the home.

Honestly, I can't believe how easy this process was. Although I was a little nervous about trying to work through the entire process online, I quickly learned those fears were unwarranted.
